Berghaus athlete Leo Houlding and his team celebrated summiting Ulvetanna in Antarctica this month, a dream ten years in the making so he definitely deserves an egg or two this Easter. Berghaus took the opportunity to give their Extrem gear a serious test in this harsh environment and we’ll be seeing the fruits of this soon.
Back in the UK most of us face a snow covered Easter Bank Holiday, although thankfully without the 24 hour daylight or dramatically low temperatures Leo experienced. At Countryside Ski & Climb our advice is to wrap up warm and persevere with any egg hunting plans. Apparently, one in five kids say they’ve made themselves ill by eating too much chocolate over Easter so consider this: eggs show up better against the snow so the hunt will be quicker and running in snow is hard work so they’ll work off all the sugar. Does that sound like a plan?
